Do you'd buy a 1*2 with receipts the. Get the belts re done anyway ?
On s car where you can buy an engine and get the belt fitted for the same price as a belt job
Thought u post this here as there's a few dci owners on
I removed the egr housing made an adapter that fitted into the solid inlet pipe. Push fit with a O ring.
That adapter then mates to an aluminium pipe then another fitting I made to connect to the boost pipe.
Welded together then...
I'm looking to get a bit more power from my 65. I'm not getting it mapped because the cars a dog and only worth a few hundred quid.
Has anyone raised the boost a bit on these with a controller? I was thinking about getting a tuning box that raises the rail pressure and then adding a bit more...
Just decat my dci. All the guides say to remove driveshaft but if you remove the engine mount bolts and pull the engine right the way forward you can lift it out the top. Much easier
Just for anyone doing it in the future
I've got a feeling one or more of my injectors are leaking back to tank. It's struggling to make rail pressure when starting. I'm going to do. A leak off test tomorrow.
If I find one or more faulty how do you sort them out? Is it just a case of the nozzles being blocked? If so could cleaning...

What's needed and is it relatively straight forward ?
Andy is a piss take. He agreed to do a cam belt for me on my drive. I took the engine out the car for it to be fitted. He turned up 4 hours late and he didn't bring any cam end caps with him.
He said he'd come back the day after and drop them in.
He never came back and I had to go and buy...

I've got a small budget and I've found a Yale 6400 for £80
I know wired is better but it's not possible in my home
Anything better for similar money ?
Also any recommendations for budget cctv?
To be honest I'm not pilling money into this car. It starts every morning touch wood but just takes a while.
Was hoping for a point in the right direction if it's going to be a cheep fix. If not it'll stay how it is. Thanks
Hi. I've had my dci for about 3 years and it was £500. Abit of a dog but it's been a good runner
Last winter the glow plug light came on the dash and it turned over for ages before starting eventually.
Replaced 4 plugs and it made no difference
Code stored was
DF137 - Rail pressure...
I havnt bought one but it's hardly a massive mistake. I'd have welded the 4 holes up and re drilled them myself and said I wanted £50 back hardly a big job.
And drilling the wrong hole centres is an easy mistake to make really. Probably wrote the size down wrong
Give the bloke a chance and...
