mk2 vee for me, pointless, expensive ect... but in terms of smiles and the grin i get everytime i drive it even though its been a daily car for a year and a half win it for me! :)
i'm leaving mine to rot in salt and ice at the moment due to it falling apart around me, headlight washers managed to empty my fluid in 10 mins, still havnt got round to fixing my heaters or getting my wheels powder coated + new tyres which have been sat in the garage for 3 weeks now.. meh...

65k's worth of mods... and i'd be embarrased to be seen driving it!
only round the corner from me so might go and take the piss a little bit....
not renault but a carspares i work at...
got a phone call earlier from some young lad
"hi mate, i need a price on a battery please"
"yep no problem, what car is it?"
"its a rover 25 1.4 16v... only i've got it to the same power as a 2.0 so i need a more powerfull battery for it"...
exactly, you'll never see the money again but if you enjoy it and can afford a bit of a loss in the mean time then do it and have a laugh!
Though to be fair if you spend 10k on a scooby today it'd be worth 6k in a year anyway....
I'd do it personally! You could be like everyone else in the world and get a scooby/evo ect or you could have something a bit pointless but fun/fast and something that you have made yours!
personally i'd save 5-6k and buy one with average miles, you know its been used then and that if bits are gonna fall off and brake they'd have done it by now!
plus you spend you 6k on coilovers, orbsound exhaust ect.... ;)
is low milage a good thing then? its probably never been driven properly so its bound to fall apart the first time you do imo.. mine on 35k and has been driven in the snow/rain everyday since i've had it... had a front end spray the other day and its immaculate again.
that once been on there for ages! yeah the milage is really low but you can get a mint one with average miles for 5-6k less which is what i'd do personally
either will be a damn sight more interesting than the civic (not a civic fan) :rasp:
Hard choice though so be fair, i keep seeing a blue 197 with the cup spoiler and white speedlines round mansfield and it looks fooking awesome!
