I actually noticed today that my abs ring on my 172 had split, i phoned renault today to ask if they had a replacement and was told that i would need the whole driveshaft OUCH!
Is there nowhere that does them as seperate rings for the front?
Cheers mate
It wasn't renault unfortunately, it was a local garage. I have sent the guy the torking guide. Bloody no end of problems with car. Only bought it a week ago and it's been in the garage more than i have been in the car.
List of problems include
Brakes and pads were all...
Yeah me too
Looks like the gasket has kinked or something as it seems to have no seal at all. The guy will be up early tomorrow! just hope its an easy fix
Well i just got my car back tonight after being away getting a sump gasket fitted. It all looked ok until i finished tonight and noticed 3 little pools of oil under the car. Put it on a pit at work to inspect and it seems that it is now leaking all the way round the top of the sump more so where...
I finally found out last night that the problem was not the head gasket. I got a second opinion from another garage who told me that the crankshaft seal or sump gasket was the culprit. He said they will replace the sump gasket first to see if this cures it as the crankshaft seal is gearbox out...
Just had car looked at today, guy reckons the headgasket is gone and oil is leaking down the back of the engine. Im still not sure but im getting it looked at tomorrow in detail by someoone else. I took the engine cover off and noticed all the little recesses underneath had little pools of oil...
there seems to be a hell of a lot of movement in the gear stick when accelerating. i'll get my mate to have a look at it. Just got the car and im getting worried :)
I just took the plastic sump guard off and there was a little pool of oil on it. It seems to be dripipng from between where the gear box joins the engine. I took photos but cant figure out how to upload them lol
Just got the car yesterday and managed to get a look underneath it on a pit at work. There is a lot of oil leaking fron just under the back of the engine bay.
Anyone any ideas. I noticed the gearstick jumping back and forward and it looks like theres oil on the bush underneath.
Not too clued...
Just thought id say hello
I just sold my Subaru and got myself an 03 Plate 172 which is standard apart from a ss exhaust. First impressions are pretty good. They are quick little buggers :)
