No I've not been overtightening them, they seem to either come loose and we loose the nut or the shear just above the head of the hex head to the stud.
I have a reoccuring problem with my ladies 172 clio - the two studs that hold on the cast ali cover to the fuel injection rail keep shearing for no aparent reason.
I'm on the fifth set in 25000 miles.
Can anyone advise, since my local dealer can't help.
When up grading from the standard wheels whats the best wheel size for a 172 mk2 to maintain the handling and ride? Are 17 inch too big? Also any tips on which tyre suits the car best would also be useful.
