Got mine yesterday. Fantastic piece of kit once you have set it up and fiddled with it. Tried a load of formats has pretty much played everything chucked at it. No more converting MKV container content to something the 360/PS3 is happy with and a great interface with YAMJ.
Stuck a 500gb drive...
Had this with one before, it was the fan. If its out of warranty pop the lid off and spin the fan by hand see how freely it moves, clean it out as well. Either that or it is the case or a component vibrating
Funny you should mention this I purchased one yesterday evening. Should be here tomorrow. Seems to tick ALL the boxes with regards to formats and functions. Looking forward to it
Yeah they still charge. Quick way to get Sky HD at the moment though. Sky installs are not taking place until January time I believe due to box shortages.
IMO you can do ALL the research you like but there is no comparison to actually testing them. Not everyone is the same. The only thing you can gleem is features.
My advice is get a hands on with the Storm.
Still using 1.0 then it seems. Go to the Nvidia site and try the latest drivers there rather than manufacturers site. One thing that might be worth trying is boot into safe mode and remove all the USB devices/hubs from Device manager.
Also check the BIOS some boards I have seen have an option...
That board is defo USB 2.0. Download the Nforce Chipset drivers that might solve it. Before you do so remove the old package under add/remove then reboot and run the new package
I have never got a good Renewal deal to be honest I am a fairly light user hence I dont really care about keeping a number so just go with whoever has the best deal for the Handset I want
It is a VERY nice handset, but after spending an hour with one I dont like it. A blackberry IMO needs a full qwerty keyboard with buttons!
As for the 3G reception, assuming your mate is on O2 and you are on Vodafone that would explain the differing signal strength. A 3G mast needs to have a...
Cannot help with ASP as my knowledge of that is ropey.
As for the other two yes easy to setup and get a connection going as you are simply a client mate. They should be able to step you through and provide auth details to remote in
This was with Virgin, I have moved to talktalk they have put me on a 6db profile now and it is stable they will not lower it like Virgin did sadly. I get between 1.2-1.4mb. Main thing is it stays connected!
For downloading I just use my work connection with Newsgroups I get a constant...
At night have a look at the SNR in the router. I live right at the end of a line and get 1.4mb at VERY best. At this speed the SNR is down to 4db I have seen it drop to 0db before as well and still stay connected without any drops. The only router I found capable of this was the Netgear DG834G...
What model sub is the Kef? I must say for the money I am really impressed even out the box with the Kefs 1005.2 package especially for a budget setup. Was awesome fun playing COD last night.
LOL it would be if you want an iPhone and have 12 months left of say a £35 a month contract. Taking out a O2 contract for 18 months at £35 a month when you dont really want one isnt cost effective. Any new handset be it SE, Nokia etc SIM FREE are around £250-350 +
So yeah there is a point and...
This was my old Naim one, sold this as I never really used it. Then bought a Rotel setup with a set off B&W 686's then sold this LOL (No piccy)
Just this week gone brought my old Denon 1906 receiver out the loft and bought a set of KEF 1005.2's and purchased a Panasonic TH42PZ85B to replace my...
Would not have been an incompatibility as Greek networks run on GSM 900/1800 same as we do here. May be your sim isnt enabled for international roaming. Before you go ring and check dude
I use O2 and T-Mobile. T-mobile IMO have some great tariffs (Well for my use they are ideal). No real complaints with O2 either the two biggest Providers in the UK are O2 & Vodafone
They usually block the SIM and number I believe NOT IMEI of the phone which is important to someone buying it.
As per the other post he works for them although I know people who have gone on not being able to pay for ages and they never chase the handset. Like he said an extreme case
