Proper insulation board (as opposed to rockwool sheets that are foam lined) are very expensive, and even rockwool isn't cheap tbh.
plasterboard is cheap as chips but won't fit up the hatch so would have to the made into thinner strips. They do chipboard/MDF in sizes to fit up hatches though...
Oh, it's because you're not a full member.
Cliosport guides are for paid members only. Sorry about that.
The solution is just a couple of tiny self tapping screws fixed in the right place and it works just fine.
I change my oil every 6 months or so and I use stuff from euro's as it's actually cheaper than halfords.
It's fully synth, meets BMW LL-01, and that'll do me. Oil is designed to meet certain specs for a reason, BMW state their cars require oil that meets LL-01 and the oil I put in does. If I...
Add it to your current policy, if they won't do it, I'd get a new insurer all together. It cost me about £22 to have my z4 and my e46 insured for a month together.
Madness! You're really not going to be able to see 5mm!!! Fussy :rasp:
Coming along nicely on the tidy up, did you lube and clean up the throttle body whilst you did the cable? Makes the world of difference doing the two together.
That is a drop with no measurements, that's a drop with 60mm apex springs. Simple.
When measured it was near enough correct, sack all this subframe crap, if you measure to the highest point of the arch from the floor, you get (and can see) pretty much a 2" difference. Which is 60mm.
Cheers chaps, if I could be bothered I'd pop out now, tyre shine and take some decent photos, but honestly, I canny be bothered. It must be said though, 17's are fun. Had the back end all squiffy earlier and it feels like in gear pull is much better due to wheel weight.
All in all the vred...
Are you mental? 60mm is 2 inches. Most non sports have about 3.5+ of arch gap. 60mm isn't going to kill anyone.
The back is FAR too low, you've done something massive wrong, either ordered the wrong springs or god knows what.
I'll dig out some pics of my old old car on 60mm...
100% agree, but it was cold, and I'd just lugged around 8 wheels and tyres, far too worn out for that stuff
I agree, the car does feel like a rocket ship and 10x better handling wise on the lighter and smaller 17's.
Cheers mate, the meaty tyres make motorway driving bloody lovely too.
Re: Utterly Filthy Zed.. Last clean of the year:
Well, they're on and looking lovely (IMO). Full set of vred winter tyres too.
Again only shoddy phone photos, I'll get some proper ones on the camera as soon as I get a chance.
Re: Utterly Filthy Zed.. Last clean of the year:
It really is easy, it's hammering it down today but the car still looks a lovely bright silver!
Very nice! Agree on the spacers comment, makes such a difference. I don't get why they ever came so narrow at the back?
Re: Utterly Filthy Zed.. Last clean of the year:
Nice to see you're back.
You missed it but I could well be buying a facelift in the new year, just need to see if the seller comes through.
