Yes, the specs on the speedline wheels being 7.25 and 53 eta do seem a bit odd, hence why I asked the question?
Is there much difference between the prima wheel and the speedline wheel as the prima wheel costs have the amount?
Hi,
Will the speedline group A 7.25 x 16” rally wheel fit a clio Williams without any modifications? (Photo)
What’s the arch clearance like?
Has anyone fitted them and has photos?
Thanks
Hi paddy,
Here’s the dimensions of the overall diameter of the driveshafts splines 23mm and the hub where it fits into the bottom shock mount 22mm. (See photos)
Do you know which hub it is?
And is there any definitive way or ‘how to guide’ to go about the maxi route of widening the suspension which is easy to understand, has been done before and doesn’t use spacers?
Is there anything on here explained in bullet points?
I don’t mind modifying what I already have if it doesn’t...
Only high enough for wheel clearance so they’re still there. I think a lower wing repair panel could fix it.
Besides the wider wings is there anything else on the body that can tell me it’s a Williams shell?
There’s so many options to make the car a maxi with regards to suspension with my basic (no) knowledge of the Clio, it’s a bit overwhelming. I’m a classic Mini and Vauxhall Corsa/nova person which I’ve rallied. So I’m starting to bring another option into the mould.
1. Go maxi replica.
2. Go...
I’ve had this email from the Ruanova company in France.
Front suspension uses modified Renault laguna front hubs and Renault scenic rear beam. What for you think? This looks a good way of making the Clio a maxi without spacers?
For rear for sure this kit:

I’d love to answer that question, but I don’t know. There’s definitely 15-20mm spacers all round and 17” et35 wheels as in the photo.
How can I tell what hubs are on it? And part numbers?
You probably know more about the car than I do?
I’m still doing research on the cars history. For some reason the car was fitted with some rally solid lifter cams and the new engine now has mild Kent 2002 cams. Did you buy them of him?
If you could that would be great. I’m trying to find as much history on the car as possible. I’ve just found out that the car did the tour of Mull at least 6 times! 😁
