yes, the codecs will infiltrate all the media players you use except for vlc.
just remove your old codecs before you do it to make sure it does't muck up
spent a lot of time using various codecs. these have always come out trumps. even on 64bit systems (the only problem being a thumbnail issue).
32bit OS works brilliantly though, i'd apprciate your feedback on it actually.

i'm not a fan of blu rays....not got any...and i have a ps3 if i really want them. just want it looking nice and able to fit a 3.5" hdd.
so basically i need to use the codecs that come with the mobo? or just look for ones that work etc
what you think of the case i suggested? i'm thinking i should get a 1.5tb green WD drive in there for storage. i'm just wondering if i should wait and see how bad the codec problems are. don't want to blow £300 on a system that won't do EVERYTHING i throw at it. it's mostly for 1080p mkvs and i...
i'm looking at this one at the moment
the 8k07

how are you finding the noise levels with the fan going? i'd give cccp a go, they're very widely used and i've never had one issue with playback. can use on vista 32bit and xp
hmmm
i have always used combined community codec pack. have you tried that? should get verything working i nmedia centre.
how have you found the playback aside from that?
does the m350 case support 3.5" hard drive?
ok it's out
mcbunny, have you made the purchase yet? i'm thinking this one?
there are a few, any advice?

thet 360 was brilliant but you're irght they don't make it anymore, a mate has a set, fantastic, was like £250-£300 when they were out. i know that doens't help.
its f**king awesome. I only keep with firefox because of the adblocker really. That and some minor compatibility issues. chrome is much quicker that the other browsers in every aspect, definitely try it out.
the opera unite facility sounds really good. but i'm not going to install it on mine cause i just built a clean windows 7 rc1 machine and i'm not ready to start f**king around with it haha
i'd recommend beyerdynamics dt770 80ohms. you won't believe how good they are.
no pc 'surround sound' headphones are any good, even the turtle ones are s**t. i've tried most of them and none of them even compare to the beyer's.
you will get 3g on a simplicity and payg and it doesn't cost loads either. Thats total horse s**t, i have it right now and it's great, i have a BIS bolt on and that gives me unlimited emails and internet usage on my bold or 8900 depending on which one i'm using. The only added benefit here is...
i tihnk i've got a good suggestion for you, dell xps 13 or dell xps 16.
plays games, full 1080p video, solid state hdd, slot loading blue ray, bout £1k look the balls and pretty much are, look into it.
nice, but you know, i think i like the nvidia box off the nvidia website the most, i've bene looking at case options for a while and none really stand out. just want it now with 7 rc1 on there. was thinking about getting a small solid state fo rthe os and just streaming all the date directly to...
