Tried the hold button down method last night. Didn't get a beep, so either it's a brain problem or a hard fault. Haven't tried the battery off yet as he has to use it to get to work.

My lad has a 1.2 Dynamique on an 03 plate with all the bells and whistles on it. The remote key locking/unlocking failed and he thought it was the battery. New one bought, same result. red LED is flashing on the key so is presumed working but nowhere can I find any reference to a receiver for it...

On an 03 1.2 16V behind the engine about level with the cylinder head, there is a metal box (which is loose and rattling about) measuring about 2" on each side. I have seen other references on here to it actually being the ECU. Yes, it appears to have quite a few wires going into and out of it...
