I would only get a cup on track..in fact no id just get a 172 on track too! Its more fun, obviously not as quick but who cares? The cup is quite fidgety on the road under breaking in anything but a perfect road, throttle response is very good and it really will blow the socks off more expensive...
I did explain up there pete:
...For a real world situation you might be going into a corner which is getting tighter, so youre understeering. So what you do is increase the brake pressure against the throttle, so youll go into oversteer.
You can adjust this from varying pressure on throttle...
The more important thing is traction control.
Thing is lads its not too hard to just slow down while all this weather carrys on, then no one will have to worry in the first place!
The VTS is a very good car but the 172/cup has it beaten in every area, i cant see how youd be dissapointed. If you like your old skool hot hatches..the cup will be right up your street. The 172 is the all round package however. Obvious comparison cars are the CTR which in my opinion havent got...

Yeah..they dont strike me as cutting edge, they just copy better manufacturers designs. For people on a budget i guess theyre ok though as they do different finishes.

yeah with a pritt stick!
I know the cup engines are bench tested..i dont see why renaultsport should have to do all of the other stuff though. It would be expensive to do that for a car under 12k
By the way bloody renault bexleyheath has one cup, for a grand over list, and the cheeky...
I was going to by N20 CUP and then sell it on..n20 chemical formula for nitrous..and well cup. Its only 300.
Might get C11 BHP..kinda the first 2 letters of clio and BHP is always a cool one.
I understand you will be doing a carbon fibre engine cover for the 172, if you havent already. Will their be anything like that for the lesser models? Even if theyre just colour coded covers/oil caps with k-tecracing decals?
I think this would be a cool addition to the engine bay(?)
Cheers

You only live once though ;)..anyway you have six airbags! If i ever get the 172 thats what ill probably do 2 mine, none of those crappy stickers though they put down the sides though. Forgot to mention the 888 motorsport carbon backbox. Nice!
