Well thats the problem.
If you get a before & after power run done at an independant rolling road and LAD will guarantee you a genuine 200bhp then go for it, but if not...
Having being a past Peugeot owner and LAD have been dealing with Pugs for years I have seen nothing but bad reports of...
Well, I am a firm believer in running things in and when I got my Cup 4 weeks ago I did run it in gently initially...
Renault recommend running in for 1000kms/625 miles and thats just what I did.
Then, I ran the 1/4 mile in it at Santa Pod last weekend and it ran a 15.0 flat with only...
I actually checked the breather pipe on the inlet the other day actually, when fitting my Pipercross Viper, as I had to take the pipe off anyway.
No oil residue there at all, but mine has only dropped two [] marks on the digital level guage on the dash, so not used much yet.
Will be keeping...
The gearing will allow a Cup/mk2 to do a max of 142.8mph @ 7000rpm in 5th gear, so your 142mph indicated at 6950rpm means the speedo is pretty damn accurate!
However, the mk1 is geared longer, so potentially a higher top speed...

Some cars do use loads of oil initially Jacko, so just keep an eye on it and see if it gets better/worse after a few more miles...
Cars can & do use oil when running in, thats a fact!
Some cars, like the CTR use loads of the stuff actually, my Cup has used a small amount in 1500 miles, but its normal.
What oil SHOULD the Cup or 172 use, as in what do Renault put in there?!

They were good pads and Id have them again...
As for discs, standard ones are fine unless youre doing track work and if so the Pagids aint really suited to...
Ive got an Ecotek that I had on my last car, which cost me nothing so I gave it a go...
Did nothing to fuel economy, did nothing to power, just made a stupid noise, so I took it off and it aint going on the Cup!
Trust me, Ive actually tried one, so dont waste your money.
As for...
Problem is that new users who may not have a Clio and/ or are seeking advice cannot use the forum...
I was posting on here a looooooong time before I got my Clio and finally joined up and Im glad I could.
We shouldnt have to make it members only though!
Yeah, it actually tells you to run it in if you read the handbook...
No more than 3500rpm (or 80mph) for the first 1000km (625miles), but Id already decided to keep mine to 4000rpm max for about 500 miles anway, then start building it up, so not much different to their plan.
Had it 3 weeks...
I dont really think he cares...
See the 172 is his car he drives for work, but then he has a bike engined Westfield track car and an ex Ford Motorsport Group A Escort Cossie Rally car parked in his large garage!!!
He used to have a 350+bhp Evo VI too, but sold that last year and bought the...
