Fuel econemy isnt fantastic and it stinks of fuel, how much did a new thermostat set you back?
It seems to be running on cold start idle as well when I come to a junction/traffic lights etc
To start with I was having problems with my cold start limiter sticking on. So I've replaced the temperature sensor.
Now my temp sensor goes to 1/4 way up when the car has been driven for ages. It rises up to 1/2 way when the car has been sat stationary for 10 mins however as soon as you move...
Got the new exhaust fitted at BTM yesterday. The exhaust is un-named at the moment but it has replaced the original yozza design.
First impressions:
Fitting was easy, Zoltan took care of matters and I tried to help where I could as he was on his own in the workshop. We got the exhaust sitting...
Tbh the car was never mint after the first session with the rotary, however I really do need to get a new mitt it would seem, will probably keep the existing mitt for the wheels and get a big drying towel for it
I had a feeling it was a megane box, from watching a few youtub videos they seem similar geared to a 1*2 from 1-5th then with the nice option of 6th to drop the RPM
Ah right, I was going to say maybe its because these drivers having to slow down for corners in 1*2's and not in 200's is because the 1*2's arrive quicker ;)
So the 200 is easier to drive quick then?
Personally I would love one, however the residuals are disgusting when buying new IMO. Although I imagine its the same with most new cars
I've had an indicated 150mph out of the 182 and it was on the rev limiter in 5th. Only done it once and never again, poor thing. Thats on a pretty standard engine with filter and exhaust......and a big ass hill
I'm currently using a meguires microfibre mitt to wash my car. I'm finding that I'm getting light swirl/stroke marks along the panels which is very frustrating after spending 20 hours giving the paint a refresh with the rotary.
Could this be down to the mitt itself or is my wash technique...
+1
I have also used hexlogic pads and they're very good, atleast there cutting ability is sort of mid way between each 3m pad.
I dont rate the green hard cutting pad from 3m, I prefer to use something else as it falls apart to easy. I've used flexi pads in the past which are decent and dont...
Took the 182 out for a drive at the weekend, up to hartside, accross to penrith and then down to hawes/richmond etc, got a couple of pics on the way
My favourite
Thats bad luck mate, you going to rebuild that lump then? When my (hutchies) valve snapped it destroyed the head but only damaged 1 piston, I may have a spare piston out of this lump I've got if it helps
Front shocks? I know you said you'd replaced the rears, I've got a pair of low mileage front shocks for your car if you want them for it. I think they've only covered around 25-30k miles
I've also got a spare top mount I can sort out for you
Just booked in at BTM for their new exhaust system, should be nice, I'll be running it at RS Tuning next month on the dyno so will get a comparison between the old vs new yozza with any difference in torque/power
I'm averaging around 34mpg on the trip computer and around 40 miles to £10 of vpower.
I'll swap the injectors out as I've got a full set there and see if that helps.
I dont want to start using 2nd hand sensors as we thought the cold start issue would go away after using a 2nd hand thermostat...
