500 miles
So this weekend I took the Mrs away for the weekend up towards the Lake District. The roads around the lakes are amazing and are such a pleasure to drive. If any of you guys actually live near there I am very jealous that you can drive these whenever you like. All in all I did around...
Your guide is almost spot on Martin, I used it a week or so ago. It is best to follow the guide that Fastchip send you by email though, and use Martin's to help.
Don't quote me on this as it's a wild guess, but 8200 may well refer to the software version. If it does, I don't think yours will be 8200, as my 2004 182 had the software version 8000.
I am probably completely wrong though. I'm sure someone will come along to help you shortly. :)
This happened to me for a short while until I noticed that I hadn't pushed the plug all the way in on the pedal - you really have to give it a good plugging!
Re: Went to view this 172 today... (salesmen rant)
Should of put the reg number in the title.
I hate the way salesmen pretend to know their stuff and lie to your face. When I was looking at mine the rear discs were rusted as thin as paper and visibly absolutely knackered, the worst discs I've...
I had the same problem with the website and couldn't access the download area.
I followed the guide on here though, and sent fastchip all the information and screenshots that the guide tells you to. When I told them that I couldnt access the download area, Henk replied within 24hrs sending me...
RS Tuner Remap
So today I got in from work and finished the RS tuner remap. Henk had sent me the rst and cal files through email as I had problems accessing them through the fastchip site. First I needed to update my ECU as my current version was 8000, the update took it to version 8200 and...
Just wanted to add to this to help others out if they read this in the future.
When I checked my pads I thought they looked fine, plenty of life in the the fronts from what I could see. I topped up the brake fluid and the problem went. However, upon further investigation a week or so later I...
It's a pretty underwhelming video to watch in silence at work haha. Will be giving it another watch when I'm at home to hear some roaring exhausts and wind!
Mine is on cooksports. I have ET35 Turinis and 10mm spacers on the front so that is almost equivalent to 20mm front and 10mm rear with standard offset. Check out my build thread for pics of how it sits (bare in mind my tyres are 205s on the rear and 195s on the front).
The location made it for me, if it were just the field I doubt I'd have stayed as long as I did. One thing though, who ever organised the parking of cars for the first few rows that got there messed up - not enough room between rows to get out!!
I purchased an RS Tuner off of here last week and am currently in the process of upgrading to the 98ron map. I have run into a couple of little technical issues with it (cal download issues from the website and the inability for the tuner to back up my ECU) but Henk @ fastchip is fantastic and...
I have done this earlier today and took it for a good blast - no noises!!! But I'm going to wait a few days before confirming that this has definitely fixed the problem.
