Likewise? Didn't receive the 1l version, just the waxybox tester, so if I am one of the two above, probably not necessary to send out guys (although I won't complain at having 1l more of it - great on carpets and engine bays!!).
edit - sorry guys, just re read - PM'd with the Dressle review link.
Re: My new car. TTQS
Nah, Haldex I'd leave to the pros as well fella. Piece of mind. Similar to what Scrooge said about the Cambelt. You/friends can do it, but it's nice having a receipt for things like that. Oil change/modifications like brakes on the other hand is another matter.
Re: My new car. TTQS
The 1.8T react well to breathing mods, Alan. The main restrictions (and standard stages of tune) come in the form of;
- front mount intercooler, to replace the two small and constricted side ones
- 3" down pipe to the exhaust
- 3" turbo intake pipe
Even the exhaust is...
Re: My new car. TTQS
Simple three, aux, timing and W/P. So no. £100 more + another £120 basically if I need those doing as well. The only consideration with AMD is that it's close to The Unit. So could drop off the car and go see the boys of a Saturday. Wonder if AMD will negotiate.
Re: My new car. TTQS
Think so pal. Just priced up some options for cambelt and clutch, if you're interested;
AMD Essex - £393.95 and £1k ish respectively!!!
Re: My new car. TTQS
Yeah, no doubt buddy, re the Clio.
Both would dial out some body roll, but you'd keep the under steer nature of the chassis, which is what I want to get rid of.
Total came to about £35. Make certain it has "A" not "B" as that's a shorter, A4B5 version.
Re: My new car. TTQS
Fair, very fair. I'll enquire.
Haha!
R32 chap. Don't need much more as it's not a track/all out fast road car.
I think I really could do with a Clio. Something stupid, that's lowered, loud, stripped etc and use the Panzer for long journeys.
Re: My new car. TTQS
Don't want to be a dick about this, so tell me to F off, but what can you fit? Pretty much anything? As think Cambelt is due, so planned to do cambelt, aux and new water pump with metal impeller!!
Making a list of general stuff to upgrade/maintenance before modding. So...
Re: My new car. TTQS
Good to see. I need mine doing soon. Unsure whether it's an Scrooge job or whether I need to get it done somewhere... what are you planning on doing, TomSx?
I've found a new love for mine as well, having replaced the oil/pickup pipe I'm really in the market for a few mods...
AIO products always compromise somewhere. With Trix it's the intensity, as suggested above by MatthewR's insight. Get a dedicated product on there and you'll see a large difference, especially with multiple hits.
To give you an idea, Andy, I sprayed the entire area of the engine bay to the extent that I had a milky liquid build up in the plastic/rubber runs you can see at the middle/right area of the photo above. I mopped this up by dabbing at it with a MF, but only after it had been left over night and...
