Well just to throw a spanner in the works!
Running at york yesterday i couldnt get into the 14s with a K&N replacement element so i swapped it back to the 57i and i got constant 14.9s

Back to the times.
I didnt beat my best although that was set at a different strip.
Ran constant 15.0 and 15.1s with the standard airbox and K&N replacement element and ran constant 14.9s with the K&N 57i

Had a phone call today from the salesman at reno leics telling me that they now have a 172cup in their showroom!
I also know that they have another cup coming in next week so if anyone wants to beat the queue get your ass over to reno leics!

I managed to do mine myself with a bit of help from my brother.
The best piece of advice is to tie a piece of string to one end before you pull the old one through! This way you have the routing already sorted out when you go to fit the new one with the string reattached to the end of it...

Thanks for the info, that is what i wanted you to say as i dont actually sit in the car idling, i just drive under 3500 rpm until my oil temp has reached 80 degrees!
Then its foot down and smile!
