Cool. Just don't do it in the sun, or it'll be a b**ch to get off! The G2 residue remover will just dry instantly before you have time to buff it off.

Right click > Open with > Choose default program > select adobe > tick the box that says 'always use the selected program to open this type of file'. Done.

Yeah, Eraser is good stuff! I find it better because sometimes IPA doesn't always breakdown the remaining oils/residue. However that's not to say that IPA isn't any good, I just think that Eraser has the edge.

If they're unlocked they shouldn't show the startup logo. Don't hold me to that though, that's just my past experience.
