30mm spacers are perfect. me, brembo and plummer all have thave them and imo they give a perfect stance to suite the wings. the larger spacers will also improve handling. haha yeh i know what you mean mate. i feel the same way regarding the performance but i think some stripage, lighter wheels...

yes it would change the whole set up in theory but you wont really feel much of a difference aslong as you lower it by equal amounts on both sides.

also dont go down the euro route as non of the clio's i have seen have managed to pull it off properly imo.

on 40mm springs thy wont fall out. i had 90mm custom springs on the back and they still passed 2 mot's so you will be fine mate
