1) Have you tried running a lens cleaner dics thru it? Mine had dust on the lens at one stage, the cleaner sorted it out.
2) Try un-plugging the cd changer cable out the back, wait 10, re-connect. This will reset the unit and may solve it.
3) Warrenty will cover it, IF the car is still under...
I had mine from 19,000 all the way to 90,000 so not tooo bad. She had plenty more life left in her!
The Renault eqv of that is only a few pounds more! So id go there.
I can see a design issue on that ebay one already, there are no grooves cut out for the HT leads to fold back into so its not...
I dont think anyone else sells them.
Id just get the Renault one, its not much more in price and at leats it is made for it.
I wudnt go any cheaper on things already lol
I went thru 4 of them on my old 1.2, they are pretty crap!
No this cant be done.
They use a different setup.
The later Update List one uses the CAN-Bus system.
(there is someone selling a unit on here from connects2 that plugs into the CD changer port which you can use tho!)
There is a manual adjustment on then on each headlamp.
A white "notched" adjuster with an allen key fitment.
Dont go crazy with them tho, otherwise they blind people.
Easy way to do it, is park up next to another 182 and use its level.
If you really dont fancy taking the dash top off.
I found if you attatch a bit of string to the wiring, then feed it down towards the passanger footwell, you can use that to tug the wiring out the way as you push the head unit in.
Works, but a quick fixer rather then making sure everythings...
The BEST way to get a good fit is to have the dash top off.
This allows your ot move the wiring/loom properly out of the way. There is a fair bit of space to the left of the unit where the loom comes up.
As for making space behind it, you wont. The heater ducts dip down at the back so your...
No probs.
Ah so its been back.
If they didnt add any protection to the new loom, or left the box without any rubber/gaurding then the fault *may* have come back with the same issue.
I used fuel pipe cut in half to go over the metal edge. Was fine after that.
With that many faults listed i...
Also, the same loom suffers from water ingress due to its location. Maybe a combination of the 2 problems.
DO NOT unplug the ECU connectors with the battery connected.
PM me if u need any help
Yup, i dont think those are your problems lol.
The 1.2 16v suffers from a major problem due to hoe the wiring loom enters the ECU.
Located at the back of the engine, the loom enters into a "secure" box which has metal edges.
This cuts into the loom and breaks the wiring.
Its more then likely...
Normally goes down. Well it did on my 182.
I had a very slight (and i mean slight) blow on the cat->centre section joint.
Was fine driving normally, but any revs after 4k (Hard accel) it sounded horrible!!
Lost around 4-5mpg
Once i sealed her up properly.....gained the MPG back and also the...
It depends what unit was in there previously.
Older (non CAN=Bus) units were Tuner List
Newer (late 182 onwards) are CAN-Bus, Update List units.
As mentioned above a different adaptor is needed. I dont think there is any easy way to check apart from knowing what original HU was in the...
Sounds like they forgot to connect up the motor back to it.
Does it just face down? (silver part touching lower part of light?)
Otherwise its just the adjustment, small white allen top adjuster.
But my feeling is motor is off.
Try and get your hand behind there and move the inner lamp...
