Its sound deadening I think or some some of protector not that it does a lot, mine was coated in oil and gearbox oil from past changes as it just dribbles down and collects on it. Rip it out and bin it off, it just peels away from the under tray

Yeah I'd say you are were VERY lucky to get one for that price. Proves its possible though
