will have to look into them at somepoint. so many things i want for the car at the minute. unfortunately new tyres and a service have got to take priority
sounds good mate. how much did they set you back? is there much midbass improvment? how about distortion? i find i cant go over volume 18 on my headunit without distortion and at that point its not all that loud.
cars looking well mate. Will have to have a good nosey round it when i next pop up. Only let down with the ph1 imo is the dash, car however looks great from the outside with the combination of the best bits of the ph1 and ph2.
If your bored i have a tin of touch up paint and several stone chips lol
Thought that was probably the answer i was going to get tbh rich. I think i may have to look into replacing the glovebox door were the majority of scratches are. Theyre nothing major just irratate me slightly.
Thanks for your help :)
Hi guys,
Anyone have any tips on removing light scratches from interior plastics eg the glovebox? The car seems to have aquired a few during its life that id like to tidy up. Ill try to take some pictures tommorow if that will help.
Thanks in advance, Russ
Hi,
Noticed your from Stoke, will have to keep an eye out for you as i work in stoke. Thats a great price on your insurance, how old are you if you dont mind me asking?
im currently paying £957 on my 182 with Greenlight
surely spending £1200 alone on nos a 172 engine transplant would have made more sense?
o well was his choice, just not the way id spend £1200 personally
Thought about getting the car rolling roaded to help see if the car isnt picking up as well as it should or if its just in your head. Please dont take that offensively but after a while of driving a car for your head numbs to the power.
Otherwise has the car been serviced recently? Might...
^yup previous model s3's had quatro.
When i was looking at Leon Cupra R 225's. On the Seat owners club there were several threads debating about LCR vs TT/S3 (Much like us on here with 182 vs ctr). The general concensous was the TT/S3 would have the edge around the twisty stuff due to the quatro
225bhp the old ones arent they? Same as some TT's and Leon Cupra R's
I would imagine the Clio could maybe just about hold its own round the bends although it would be no walk in the park.
The 2007 s3 would trample all over the clio, theres what 85bhp difference between the two and 4 wheel...
No worries mate. Sorry your thread turned into a slanging match. As you can see it only takes one person to make some outragous comment and it all goes tits up.
Forgot to say before -
The 172s you cant see their exhausts, the 182s are the ones with twin tailpipes in the centre of the bumper...
ok ok.
Back on track then -
Which car is best for you is all down to personal preference.
172 cup is ideal for someone who wants a more track focused car and can live without luxuries such as aircon and abs.
172 ff are a great buy at the minute, can be picked up for £4.5k there abouts...
Only prob with that though is if you let them overtake and then see them half a mile up the road wrapped around a tree...using the same train of thought...could take you a month to get over the fact that you let them overtake. theres no right or wrong really where idiots are concerned
Ive no doubt about that, modern diesels are very quick especially when already moving.
Just people carriers? why? why are they called people carriers? 9/10 only carry 5 people. pointless cars generally driven by people with pointless lifes who just live to change little jonnies nappy.
Is it just me or do people in people carriers especially scenics and zafira's drive them like they have stole them?
Ive just been out and had a guy in his scenic with 2.4 children in tow (and a child on board sticker on the rear window) sitting so far up my arse i could barely see his...
yup thats the ff thing.
Full fat 182's with cup packs have the best of both worlds, the upgraded suspension, wider track and leather, climate control, cruise control etc etc.
I personally opted for a Full fat 182 with cup packs as i fancied the half leather interior.
Yup...mine had a worn rear shocker when i first got it....incredibly tail happy when taking a hard corner. Much more planted after getting the shocker replaced.
That could be driver skill to be fair. i'm not the worlds greatest driver nor do i pretend to be but i did struggle with a type r only the other day. i keep meaning to look into some advance driving tuition.
