i also mentioned the hill climbing to you didn't i?
i have had a thought myself...
in the westfield club they have there own sprint series, then this runs alongside other clubs/events and hill climb or sprint days... it could work on here i reckon
i have, i also found an arosa diesel on Edition38 for cheap cheap but they are super dooper small and alot less comfortable even than the clio
linky to arosa - http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=378063
i was going to argue with your statement of a horrible interior as i own a phase 1 172, but i noticed you do also.... can't be worse than the god awful blue dash...lol
still need to sell the passat first however
i won't be doing any motorway miles sadly, and i hope this super-commute won't be for too long but it would be real handy to have a very economical car (even if it has got little character...lol)
will start focusing more on 80's then
Thank you again guys for the info. Super helpful. So am i alot better off looking into 80's and 100's?
If i hadn't asked for info i would be looking for totally the wrong thing (a low miler thats been driven conservatively... Lol)
Whats the differences between them all? I heard the 80's and 100's experienced more problems?
I looked into it but apparently they are more expensive to tax, this whole excersise is for money saving so if thats the case that option is out of the window straight away. Lol
yeah i think i have written off the 106
deffo between the clio and 306 although i am slightly leaning towards another clio,
little things like knowing the car a bit more, and the fact i already have a set-up for the roof rack for a clio beens lower costs in the future
thats what i have fitted up to mine but yet to use them yet, can't wait to get back in mine, so many changes have happened since i last drove it... will be like a new car.
i think people get a bit lost when it comes to cages, they over-look things, you make some real valid points here, i was...
hi sash,
yep already noted your comment on the sunroof,
do you know the cambelt times for the diesels? water pump another common problem on these then?
and 306's

Re: someph-ing different...........
so i was going to go down and work on the car this morning,
fit the rear struts, fit the front camber bolts and cut the holes in the front arch liners for the brake ducts, however, i remember a long time ago (when i fitted the initial set of koni shocks...
second both of these....
thats a f*ck load of work, just removing all the bits and bobs inside is a long job....
awesome mate, expect a pm regarding the window shortly
so i thought i may bump this back up as i seem t finally have a fair bit of interest in the passat,
that means i have to start looking around asap...
clio or 306 then is it????
its not what you know mate.... and he isn't a magazine contact either....lol
no blagging for me anymore....
no mate not that i know of, probably my superb photographic skills with the perspective
