Gripper is far from a fit and forget diff, it has clutch plates which are immense at first but will then wear and lose it's greatness. They're noisy and snatchy at slow speeds and slow cornering
For our megane 225, am I best off going to a garage and paying £40 everytime I get a warning/service light (currently on) or is this Ktec reader any good?

Can't justify RS tuner unless someone local has one on Gloucestershire...
I'm only slim, I'll fit in the engine bay!
From what Tony says, you may struggle to pass regs with that crash bit missing from behind the bumper. It doesn't weigh a drastic amount
i can attack your window by all means, payment however is a return trip to the Dubai 24h.
the leopard leotard isnt mine, i dont know how i was wearing it that morning!!
Lucky Emma is a trained life guard, think we'll all be ok lol. Few ciders on the first night and everything will become clear. 42.86% of the wolfpack reunited for 11 days, proper bang tidy
aggggggghhhhhhhh, i wish i could lock the garage up and not go in there for 6 months. but i cant, its in the way of my bikes lol.
i think i need to get this John O'Groats - Lands End bike ride and training out the way for 9 months, concentrate on that and forget petrol for a bit. If it was...
Filling for time at the moment, but very possibly very soon the supercharger may be for sale. Would include nearly everything to get it fitted yourself. Sad times
Craig, me and Adey both in gloucester. We got the filters in same position as you, but with a 90degree bend up slightly. There's not a lot of room to move the filter too sadly
Mine made identical power at Powerstation and TDF to be fair, I'd agree with Adey on wheel spin or something.
I still don't like the idea of a standard-ish Renault box in there, I wouldn't be doing another euro road trip in it that's fo sho
Cheers Gally :-)
No disrespect to andy/Ktec, but I'd be dubious about a gripper in a road car, exspecially if you want another trouble free 10k miles.
Burpspeed could have used a gripper but didn't want the expense and hassle of rebuilding it every year, bare in mind that car runs circa 13...
My hands are butchered, that is a 30 minute job in the Clio. 2 hours and a test drive later she now revs to the right limit with no warning lights, let's hope the latter stays that way
They'll class it as wear and tear. Bet they've done it due to time constraints. The quaffe needs the gearbox crown wheel sent to quaffe to get welded up and they wouldn't get it back to you in time. I'd be binning the gripper idea mate
The gripper is immense, it's the dogs b****cks but will wear out every time you use the car and WILL need rebuilding, it certainly isn't a maintenance free system, certainly not in a road car. It deteriorates as well, so will be amazing at first then become mediocre.
The quaffe is a fit and...
Why have you gone for a gripper diff? Going to be forever building it with that kind of power. Quaffe will last a lot longer before needing work. And were not talking a huge amount of time before the gripper needs work on!
What cage are you going for?
