Aye, as a Noob I'd find it infuriating if my one mistake meant I wrecked my car. Realistic, perhaps, but I want to actually be able to race and enjoy the game. Having to continually retry races because I'm learning the game, as well as spend 000's of credits on repairing damage, would do my head...

Yep, literally like an ice rink. Even if you accelerate at the same rate as the rest of the cars out of a corner you'll end up like a bloody pendulum.

So what's the cheaper wheel at Maplin like? I was all set to get the GT Pro before I realised £80 is a big outlay for a game I'll likely never play again after the New Year...

I've only played Grid out of those three but GT5 is miles better than Grid as an out-and-out racing game.

Agree. My main instinct if I didn't like a game would be to not bother visiting a thread dedicated to it and, indeed, not play it. Don't see the appeal of continuing to frequent said thread to ram down everyone else's throats, people who seem to be enjoying it, how there are so many life-ruining...
