Renault have changed the Aux belt to 5 years which aligns with the cambelt. The also moved the Megane R26 to 6 years instead of 5 years. S

I think your problem here is you are thinking that a decent PH1 is cheaper than a 172 cup. Im afraid your wrong, you will be able to buy cheaper & net then have a bigger bill to get it to a decent standard. If you've got sub 1500 starting funds with less than £500 back up then its unlikely you...

dephaser is well & truly fubared. Would have been there like that when you bought it- possible car run warm to quiten it down. Around £600/650 all in.

They do not fit on 182 recaro frames. you can buy them new to fit on 182 recaro frames but 197 seats do not fit on 182 recaro frames. You need to fabricate frames for 197 seats they are totally different. s

Parts for the belt kits X2 + dephaser is circa £300 as you need oil + filter as well. So £300 labour for 4-6 hours labour is about correct. S
