Looking good! Well, you know what I mean... I'm sure it'll be a riot on track :)
Got any rear calipers? I've got a binding brake and a suspect I'll need to replace the caliper.
First of all... Do it! You'll never understand how awesome the 'Ring is until you go, I've been 4 times now and still hate leaving!
We catch the Euro-tunnel from Folkestone to Calais, it's a long-ass drive but it's all part of the adventure :)
Looks like a good time, would've loved to have seen that Mini! Shame about the weather (as always!). I think Not Normal Dan and a few of the lads on RSMegane are organising a triangle run in July, so I'll keep you all posted.
I do like Scooby's but as mentioned they do seem to attract the wrong attention, plus for every one nice Scooby there are 20 god-awful ones! If I were to have one it would be an STI in this blue of the car I saw at the 'Ring last week...
As much as I like the Fiesta they've become such a boring everyday car so quickly thanks to their popularity, yet I still like the Focus (facelift only though!).
Agree that blue is the best colour for the RS.
I only seem to be able to 'copy' rather than 'copy to' but I think I'm getting somewhere now, although I'm still unsure where I'm meant to save to. I think I've cracked it though!
My friends dad came with us to the Nurburgring this year after his son (my friend) lost his battle with Leukaemia not long after our Nurbugring trip last year, so we had a whip round and paid for him to have a ride in a Porsche 'Ring Taxi... I stood on one of the corners and took a photo as they...
Honestly mate, if you can buy one and not have any reliability issues then you'll absolutely love it... I went to the 'Ring with 50 of my mates in over 20 cars in convoy with the cruise control on with leather, climate in complete comfort... Then did an easy 9m 15s lap with loads of traffic...
I've been left Britool a while now so I'm not sure on the latest models, but I'd probably look at a Sykes Pickavant/Norbar torque wrench as they're a simple design and stay within calibration quite well. The ratcheting mechanisms aren't the best but can be replaced, but if you use it properly...
Well I haven't actually done much at the car other than some Brembo discs and Mintex 1144 pads, along with a set of RS-R's. Once they were scrubbed-in nicely I headed here...
I managed a 9:15 BTG lap which I'm pretty contented with considering the amount of traffic and my lack of experience...
