Yeah seems fine, the gear selection process is completely different now, so much more fluid.
What annoys me tho is im going in for a operation soon and wont be able to walk for 6 weeks, I booked my car in for its first service but renault wouldn't do it because it was early... by about 3-500...
So,
picked the car up yesterday, all seems fine as it goes. In fact I'd say it drives better than it did when it rolled off the forecourt 10 months ago or whatever it was.
From what I've heard it's the syncro's that go on the box. With regards to the clutch being engaged I had my suspisions regarding this as my clutch disc had one hot spot on it the diaphram fingers has witness marks but only on two of them. I personally believe it was down to clutch distortion in...
Update-
Out of nowhere... despite that there was apparently no flywheels available in the UK they seem to have had a random delivery & I will collecting my car this afternoon...
I can see what you are trying to say. But if you take two identical vehicles and put one on a premium tyre & one on budgets, You will notice a difference. I've had many years in motorsport & tyres play a massive part in vehicle performance. Not to mention that many budget brands will wear a lot...
Blimeyyyy! See stuff like this is my nightmare!
I don't want to get it back & get plagued with issues because they haven't sorted it properly! I'm guessing they'll track it properly seeing as they've had the arms etc off. I'll be taking the guy from service with me on the test drive when I pick...
Thought as much mate. Getting to the point where I'll end up loosing my rag with them shortly tho, fed up with them never knowing what's going on & never telling me anything. Terrible customer service.
Oh & not to mention that the Courtesy car I got given was absolutely filthy, I had to clean it myself it was that bad inside & out. & the fuel cap wasn't attached to it, someone hadn't done it up.
I did actually try that line as I was thinking about getting one haha.
I see what you're saying Mark, In fairness it has put me off owning another, the way it's been dealt with is pretty bad in fairness, especially as no one ever gets back to you when they say they're going to. If it gets any...
I understand that, but I imagine you can see where I am coming from? Firstly I get blamed for something that I played no part in secondly I'm not paying top dollar for a car I cannot even drive because of a fault of Renaults?
If you get in a taxi & the taxi breaks down before you get to your...
One of the main things I'm thinking is should I be paying or paying in full the HP on a vehicle I have no use of because of an issue not relating to me?
HAHA! Well they aren't sure, I said to the chap in service if they can get me something else I'd be happier with as it's gutless. Get overtaken by wild life! Got mugged by a Daihatsu Copen <1L in it the other day. Emotional.
Chaps,
Some of you may of seen my thread regarding my 200. As it currently stands there was an issue with the clutch & flywheel which after the dealer blaimed on me has been found to be a factory fitment issue.
Ren UK are paying for this but the new issue is that the Flywheel is on back order...
You've kind of answered your own question there... The fact is they are a budget tyre which are never as good.
You tend to find how good your tyres are when you push them.
I haven't (touch wood) had any issues with my gearbox (2012). I think it often depends on how sympathetic the driver is.... But there is no doubting that it isn't the strongest of boxes.
Update:
This is being covered by the warranty in its entirety.
But unfortunatley the Flywheel is on back order and they don't have an ETA on when it's going to arrive :boring:
