Had a quiet weekend so thought I would start getting my interior sorted.
Got these brand new Trendlines a while back and just needed the frames so I could install them. Got the frames off @JON FOZ and they are absolutely fantastic. The frames are identical to recaro Frames but made with better...
@Ceaglestone
Hi Mate, yes straight forward swap. The seats are pretty much immaculate . no wear or anything like that. You will need to reuse a couple of things from your seats as I needed them for my recaros - seat belts clips.
Tools you will need are a 13mm spanner and torx 40 (i think for the...
As said there is 8 nuts in total that need to be removed under the car the outer ones are under bungs that come off pretty easily. The inner nuts are under the heatshield but there are holes in the heatshield and you will see them. You may need to undo the olive joint if you have an aftermarket...
Main thing is that you are OK. Glad you are sticking with it and getting a replacement. Guess you are going to be getting a 1*2 with ABS now with top tyres and brakes.
Good job. Did your gearbox feel any different afterwards?
Like the look of your car and that wheel looks amazing. You should polish the headlights though as they look like they are hazing a bit.
Only just saw that - thanks for the heads up. Might do, will check and get back to you tomorrow.
Do you want some seats for your cup? Got some nice ones which I took out of my car today that still look new.
I had some lights sent to me and one snapped in exactly the same place. its a pain that the plastic is so weak. Would surprise me if they did sell it on its own. luckily i had a working one on an old light I was able to extract. hardly any room to work with in the lights but you can remove those...
I need some help with the resistors as i am going to swap my seats today. If anyone has done this can they have a look at my pic and tell me which wires I need to bridge with the resistors.
I have the right resistors just dont know where to brdge them.
Here is a pic of my seat connectors.
I thought it only had a drain plug hole and a filling hole??
have i missed something? you fill it until the fluid starts to come out of the filler hole ( the one where you remove the butterfly nut. )
@StuOwen86
I cut a 1m length of garden hose and that was great , fits nicely into the gearbox filler. for the funnel end , dip the end of the hose into a cup of boiling water to soften the rubber and after a minute it should be easy to slide the funnel into it.
make sure you have a copper...
This stuff will be easy to fit without the need for modifying anything or cutting holes. It sounds fantastic too.
Alpine CDE -178BT head unit - this is Alpines flagship model, its quite cheap though at only £179 .
Alpine KTP -445A power pack - inline amplifier that plugs between the headunit...
As above would deffo use the SSD drive. You might be able to buy a caddy from ebay or somewhere that you can put in the laptops dvd drive.
like this ...
I was thinking about this the other day and I think removing the bumper is one way of getting to the bonnet release. There are 2 plastic screw things on the top of the grill which will be under the bonnet though but im sure you could pop these off with a screw driver. you should then be able to...
Nice work Marc, top stuff as always.
Did some research and that Tetrosyl Stone Chip seems like good stuff. Did you use black or clear stuff.
Are you tempted to strip and paint your rear beam.
@dann2707 and I ordered from here a few months back, it all ran like clockwork as you would expect from Germany. They were shipped by Fedex and arrived a few days later - Ordered on a Friday morning and had them on the wednesday. All properly double boxed. There is a german review website and...
Do some research before buying them in the UK. a couple of us have bought them from Germany mk-fahrwerkstechnik.de much cheaper. Think it was £550 but now with the euro exchange rate they are probably a lot cheaper. Great company too.
Some coilovers are sold like that so they work with 54 and 60 spacing. Think ktec sell some that have the one size fits all spacing.
Not saying it hasnt been bodged mind.
