Demo in not-actually-that-bad shocker. Quite a bit of fun to be had, TBH.
Here is the demo thread on the offical All Stars messageboard. It's getting really good praise, considering it's a "two wrestler" demo only (Rey and Warrior).
Lot of happy folk...
I use my PS3 as a media player, for Uncharted 2 (and no doubt Uncharted 3) and maybe WipeOut once in a while. Other than that, if there's a game on multi-platform, I'll always choose the 360 version. PS3 for exclusives only, and media playing, as mentioned.
Yeah it's pretty much a keyboard and mouse vs control pad debate, which TBH is what I was creating the thread for. The title kinda blows that up a little. However, if we can discuss other features then that's great - such as graphics, sound, blue screen of death etc.
With £300, the console wins, hands down IMO.
The decent graphics cards cost more than that on their own, and no one can really say the consoles have poor graphics, because that just isn't true.
This is what I'm trying to understand, hence my question.
I'm kinda getting it now with the mouse and how it works. Will try a few of the videos, but I agree that some of them look far too fast and unrealistic.
No wonder the guys on PC have far more kills than the console guys :clown:
Point mouse at target. Shoot. Point mouse at several targets in quick succession. Shoot.
Right?
I don't want to sit 3 feet away from the screen though, so they'd have to be wireless. I also don't want a desk near my sofa in my living room, therefore I'd like the mouse and keyboard to be built into my leg. Somehow.
Any idea who, on Cliosport, has the most modifications on their Clio?
I was wondering if it was worth it, so I'd like to see the results. May well be engine mods, or it could be bodykit overload.
If you think you could be that person, or if you think you know which person or car it may be...
Crysis 2 is a great looking game on the next gen consoles. It's like they've figured out how to do lighting effects perfectly. Graphically I don't think any console will ever be able to compete with a souped up PC, but games are definitely looking nicer as developers improve on the technology...
That's true, but the games being released are still getting better and better. Uncharted 3 in a few months, which will hopefully be even better than Uncharted 2 which was 2 years ago. Even though the console is 6 years old, the games are still pushing yet getting nowhere near the limits of the...
Ahh yes, Roy, but that's where the graphics card comes into play. Your average jobbie won't be able to render that well, then you need a decent processor to keep it all running smoothly, add more RAM for the sake of it, buy a bigger harddrive to cope with the graphic content install etc. etc...
But it all seems really easy and pretty accurate using the analogue sticks on the 360, certainly for Bad Company 2. I can understand from an outsider looking in that it should work at all and be really slow and clumpy, but it's damn good, considering.
Decent point about spinning around with a controller, but because it's all I'm used to, I have nothing to compare it against, so that's the norm for me - much like the treacle comment. Like I said, I'm sure my eyes would be opened if I had a blast with mouse and keyboard. I think the keyboard is...
I can't quite work out which side of the fence you're sitting on with that comment. PC is only good for 2 games, but the consoles are for slobs and kids. Hmm.
