I did...but I also had a few problems with it. Needed a new clutch, flywheel and had the dreaded rattle too. So I chucked the towel in...and got a DC5 😂
Made a decent profit on the car itself so wasn’t too painful when I sold it!
The set up was so easy to control. So smooth and predictable (as it could be with the standard diff). Was even better in the friends that had a Kaaz diff. So good!
I want another one now ffs! 😂
This was the set up I went with. Taken from Driftworks...
FRONT
camber 2'50"
castor 7'30"
toe 0'00"
REAR
camber 1'10"
toe 0'00"
RESULT:
Positive steering feel
Will not grab or snap
Stable and consistent control
Found it very good for fast road.
How are you finding the gearbox on these?
I whacked a Nismo gearbox Mount on mine and it absolutely transformed the box feel. No more slack. Felt horrendous after a Honda!
I’d definitely recommend tucking the loom up a bit. I wasn’t massively low but I started rubbing through the liner quite...
Making me miss mine!
Looks great on those wheels. Front needs to come down a tad more. Just check careful of the loom in the arch. Pretty easy to poke it up a bit further though.
Yeah the prices have gone a bit daft now! But it’s just following the trend of the skylines etc.
Mine came over nearly completely standard. I ordered a Regu06r from Japan and it was made and shipped over within 6 weeks. Brilliant service.
I used to buy parts from Jesse Streeter. Decent...
Could have been on that day too, but Hyundai are one of the worst companies I’ve dealt with. So bad that I sacked off the I30N and went with Seat.
WRC experience looked amazing though!
Having a bit of a nightmare so far...the pressure plate decided it no longer wanted to be friends. So it's like leg day every time I drive the car.
In contact with the dealer to try and sort things. He can fix it or have the car back. :unamused:
Thanks mate! I will do.
In regards to the lightening cable, I have no idea. It was already fitted in the car but I'll have a look through the invoices and see if there's anything in there.
I like the way these sound when you're putting the hammer down! Power delivery is just like the EP3 and DC5 so used to that really.
In terms of plans...I reckon springs and frsu, intake and maybe a Mugen grill and we'll see what else happens!
Progress will probably be slow though :unamused:
