I also found this snipet of info from pistonheads. It looks as though Honda are sticking with the 2 tier car that the FN2 was where they have a type R then a GT version. One will be a sub 30k car and the other will be just over 30k.

Ive owned my FN2 for 4 years now and I would call it a warm hatch.I've also had a 172 and a 182 and I agree they are much better made cars than the clio's and the performance is near identical, appart from top end.
I also agree with you i also much prefer my Type R over the clio's to drive...

That's the sort of price I mean, and theres a golf gti for nearly 36k just down from...
A half decent golf R can hit 37k easily.
As said most will finance/lease and then when it loses 10k in the first year that's when us poor folk will show up.
Latest from Honda for sure this is going to hit the 30k price bracket
All-new Honda Civic Type R: unrivalled against the brand's iconic performance flagship models
Unmatched performance compared to all previous Type R cars, including Civic, Integra, Accord and NSX
Thrilling turbocharged...
It will be quicker than the old NSX so its going to be a fast car.
I don't know why people are saying they went quiet. It was only the EP3 and FN2 that were warm hatches by todays standards.
That would look better without the stickers and black bonnet vents.
After that I love the colour and the wheels although i'd of liked to have seen them in silver.
Cracking power as well.Well done.
