Yup, ive got standards - 17s looked sweet but the handling awas absoloutely awful - it felt like a brand new car now! Also, coz one of the wheels were buckled - it bent me drive shaft! So glad i aint using em anymore!
Remove the heat shield form the under side of the car that covers the centre section of the exhaust. Only 2-4 screws. Then you will see the adjusting thingy. Basically two cables running through a peice of metal. You can adjust the cable by tigtening the respective nut up or down. You will see...
Doh, yeh that could be it too! I would certainly explain the whistling if your breaks arent unclamping and especially the juddery ride. Mine stick a little and i get he judder tho not the whistle as loud as you are talking!
Right, it may be a fule leak mate - that would explain the jumpy feeling as the fuel pressure is not at a constant when you accelerate. It may also be a prob with your gearbox (horrible i know) as it may be slipping in and out of gear SLIGHTLY when the engine is cold and not fully lubricated...
Silver bits look gay - the lexus lights look worse - its bit max power i think! Otherwise not too bad - just over the top. Oh, and there are too many cliosport stickers aswel. Slightly Nova-esk.
Well, im treating mine at the mo- if its in its early stages then the best thing to do is to sand down the area where there is rust until it is smooth - then get lots q-rust on the area - then fill it with some body filler, sand it again and then mask off the area surrounding it. Then prime with...
Lucas - just spoke to Renault - £31 for the new receiver for the central locking - key doesnt need ot be recoded as its in the actual unit that gets coded to your key. Plus labout - about £70 quid. Although without having to decode the unit, you could easily fit the receiver yourself. As for the...
Ah yes, but if i had a new central locking receiver i would have to get the key recoded - also, i need to fix the leak otherwise the new centre console i get will be just as broke after a couple of down poors!
Right, as we all know Valvers leak - badly. Mine, leaks like a Jack russel puppy, after drinking a pint of stella in a house it doesnt know - with no nappy.
Basically, because so much water has entered the centre roof console over the past couple of months, the motor (or switch) for my sunroof...
Take it back to renault straight away! Its their fault - you are well within your rights to moan - they are not. If they do moan then they are seriously in the wrong!
Your theory sounds about right mate - if it was jammed nad you then forced it (which is what i would hav done) then the chances are that its got even more jammed than it was - frayed cable sounds probable although i dont know why the cable would become stiff if it were frayed? It would just...
Was driving along last night with my mate in the car. For some time now i have had problems with my steering being heavy, droning noise as im on full lock and a noise almost as if my wheels are rubbing. I also get a knock every time i go over even the slightest bump at any speed from the front...
Just saw a lovely lookin blue 182 parked outside my local Renault garage - just saw the twin exhausts etc - uuuuummmmm! Looked fookin sweet - want one! So to all of you that own em - your are lucky sons of bitches!
Yeh i know what you mean - get that. You can feel it through the wheel aswel - im not sure what it could be but my mechanic mate seems to think its defintely the pump!
Was just told by my mate at a garage that if there is plenty of fluid in the car then its probably the pump - i think mine is the original so ill get that done i think - should be a haynes manual job - woopie! Should have a fun weekend!
What do you mean by crunching (silly question maybe) it may be that your wheels are rubbing onm something? I just checked the level of mine and its just over the plastc filter level (just but i think that is pretty full. Im pretty worried.
Ive got that at the momment - it makes a drone noise nad doest seem to give any assistance at all - slightly worrying. Might take it to my mate who owns a garage and see wot it is. Does your steering drain power from the engine when u are turning the wheel at a standstill?
Water in your spark plugs too? You may want to cover the bonnet in a plastic sheet until the prob is sorted and see if that works. Its surprising that water is getting in with a closed bonnet tho?
Erm, i have a green induction kit and it sounds truly awesome - plus not EVERYONE has one and i noticed a slight power gain too. Worth every penny - sounds like a VERY VERY loud v6 over 4000rpm and not just some boring drone like most boy racer ad ons.
We all know how to change fuel filters but im not sure about the pumps mate!! - i think it may be quite a tough job. It is definately in the Haynes manual tho and worth a pop!
Well it cant be the coolant coz like you siad, he has jsut had that flushed so it can be blocked - i think it may be a coolant leak (from a split hose) and a problem with the fan not working. It may also be a problem with the temperature of the air that is going into the engine - if you get a...
Yeh, coz if it were your belt you would get a squeeling noise and certainly know about it! I suspect its the pump to be honest. You got no warranty or anything?
