    Matt's BG 182

Thanks for the comments chaps. I don't really want to split any parts, as it's set up so well as is, however, if I do struggle, I may be tempted to remove the nice bits! I would keep this car if i could but I just don't have the space to put it, and i know it would just sit without getting...

    Matt's BG 182

Due to a change in circumstances and needing to do many more miles in the upcoming months, the car is now up for sale. It's currently on 94,500 and will rise very slowly as i continue to use it for work. If anyone is interested, please contact me on 07902393199 and i can send across a full...

    Alex's BG 182

Looks really good mate! I've recently started my BG journey with my 5th 182! Where did you get the recaros covers from? Something i'd like to get for mine to keep them fresh!

    Matt's BG 182

    Thank you mate! :)

    Matt's BG 182

Yeah, I am a big fan of the recaros! They certainty lift the interior!

    Matt's BG 182

Managed to finally give the car a clean! I bonded the splitter and fitted, which I'm happy with. All the grills fitted, but the washer blanks are still to fit.. i need to lower the back slightly, but anyway.. Pictures!!

    Matt's BG 182

Thankyou mate. This is my 3rd black gold, therefore I am slightly bias!

    Matt's BG 182

I forgot how brittle they are! Really gutted I managed to snap it being too heavy handed! The headlamps look much better, I think they still look a little grey against the black paintwork, as opposed to the lighter colour cars.

    Matt's BG 182

Thankyou mate.. I keep telling myself, this one IS a keeper!

    Matt's BG 182

The plastics have all been treated to Qtechnic trim restorer, and the bass ports inserted into the fog grills. All this will be fitted at the weekend. I also need to trim restore all the plastics on the cars too, such as mirror base, scuttle pan and wipers. I annoyingly managed to snap the cup...

    Matt's BG 182

Another small update: Fitted the black background xenons, which make a nice improvement on the front end, plus they're alot clearer than the old units. Before: After: While the front bumper was off the car, I wanted to remove the headlight washers. I couldn't find any cup blanks, so...

    Cup spoiler on a phase 2 172

I have a black gold one for sale mate, see link to sale thread: https://www.cliosport.net/threads/black-gold-182-cup-spoiler.823006/ I would listen to sensible offers around £70. Cheers

    Matt's BG 182

I also took the car for a quick spin to grab some better photos than on the driveway. The cars still off the road, until my girlfriend's car sells and she takes my daily off me. Anyway, a few better photos of the car with some scenery.

    Matt's BG 182

First thing is a quick photo of the 3/4 private plate from the last update, much nicer imo Today I've manage to move on with a few things, firstly the exhaust, it had a pair of sockets holding it in place, I changed these for polyflex mounts. Old rubber mounts with sockets in situ. New...

    Matt's BG 182

Another small update.. private plates on with 3/4 front plate, but I've not got a picture yet. I've also order the stud and nut conversion from Pure Motorsport with spacers for the new wheels, which I collected today. 15" 1.2s wrapped in AD08R's.. I'll get round to fitting all this next weekend.

    Matt's BG 182

Managed to clean up the recaros today, used Autobright direct alcantara cleaner and soft brush, really happy with the results. Also managed to pick up some black insert xenons to replace the grey. No issues with mine, but much prefer the darker inserts. They've been machine polished, ready to...

    Matt's BG 182

Thanks mate, it's really easy, there are 4 13mm nuts for each seat under the car. You'll need a 13mm deep socket. The ones closer to the side of the car are covered under rubber grommets, you need to remove these first. The ones closer to the centre of the car are through the exhaust heat...

    Matt's BG 182

Yes, I did own Ash's old BG I believe the previous owner is on here, but i am unsure how active he is. I think the car is known to the clio world though

    Matt's BG 182

I then got the spoiler painted BG which was fitted today along with the seats, the seats are on Jon Foz X-low adaptors and the driving position is spot on. Unfortunately I haven't managed to drive the car since I bought it, it's been sat on the drive and it serious need of a good clean. Anyway...

    Matt's BG 182

I'm no stranger here, previously owning 4 clio 182's, a few weeks ago I bought number 5, this one is a keeper! Before I'd even bought the car, I managed to source a set of trendlines and a genuine trophy spoiler ready. Onto the car, I was torn between a RB and a BG, but with this beauty...

Potential classic ?? Re stripe or not ?

I would say its personal preference, the stripes will add/subtract very little value. I'd be more concerned about the turbo affecting the value from a classic perspective, as this is quite an extreme modification. Collectors usually prefer standard examples and are mostly worried about millage.

    Carbon splitters

    +1 on this!

    Carbon splitters

There is surely a market for someone to make the cup splitters. I think they look much nicer than the fabia alternative, however the Cupra R splitter does look good.

    Spraying front grills

Unfortunately I don't own the car anymore (or have any pictures on my work PC). There is a new thread for the car though created by Jimbo1990 :)

Mr Plums Progress.. Clio 182 Turbo!

Neither would I... I'm a few months of being in a position to view/buy it though, as current house work means I'll have nowhere to store it. I'll keep an eye on this thread and the for sale advert!

Mr Plums Progress.. Clio 182 Turbo!

Surely the 15,000 miles that's been done post turbo install validates it?

Mr Plums Progress.. Clio 182 Turbo!

Stunning car, I must of looked at the for sale advert at least 10 times this week... Temptation is strong here!

New (to me) Artic blue 182

Can't see that working out mate - tempted to buy a boosted one this time (and then fit all the mods I fitted to your current one!) Surprised that you're finding the billies too stiff for track work. I know AST are the 'ones to have' for track, but will be extremely stiff for road use.

New (to me) Artic blue 182

Good to see a project thread up mate! I'm debating another 182 as I miss this thing... don't want to sell it do you? haha!
