I know power gains are pretty much non existent.
However, looking for the best for sound and also read a post where you can save a bit of cash when it goes for a service as they dont replace the air filter if you ask them!
Though i would post this because i test drove a 182 with one and mine was like this for first 4 weeks until Id had enough of it ! kept pullin to the right and did feel nervous.
Anyway took into Renault and they straightened the thing up for me, probably a fraction to the left now but not much...
Mine seems spot on..
£34 to fill from reserve = 40 litres = 8.8 gallons
Get about 320 miles from that to reserve again .. which is about 36 mpg which is what it says.
Was runnin on normal unleaded but now optimax all the time and it seems better mpg from that. So the extra money for...
I was thinking about this to. A good panel filter (ITG maybe) then a modified airbox with the ducting for the increased, colder air ??
If someone could do these on an exchange basis Im sure they could make some money from it for their time!

Should get it back this afternoon. Small hole in it - Manufacturing fault I am told. I thought I could hear it blowing after about 200 miles and only because I garage it everynight.

I bet the 0-60 times are awsome after that treatment. Think you would dispose of pretty much anything with that under the bonnet.

somethin to do with the cut off to the power (and probably them bloody clickin relays!!!). He said BMWs and such like have some sensor or something that cuts the power immediately once fully up. This guy knows his stuff and he could have easily took me for another 50-100 quid by adding that on.
When i had mine fitted (imported 182) I was advised not to have this because of how the windows work on the clio. He reckoned that the motors on the windows would probably give up sooner than later with it fitted .. ??
So you have to sign a contract of some sort?? What if you had cash problems and needed to sell the car ? .. or decided you didnt like the car ? You cant ??
If they can give this discount to F&F why in all the posts can no-one get one for less than 13,500 from a main dealer ? Obviously they have more of a margin to play with, must be something to do with commision i guess ??

Is it easy enough to do on the 172/182 ? .. I mean can you get to the oil filter easily etc.. or would it need to go on a ramp?
Do Renault use ELF when servicing the car because i would like to stick with the same oil. Which one of these would be recommened for oil change at 1500 miles ...
Surely its not worth putting a new exhaust on it as Renault have basically done that already.
Dont really want the engine tickering with so I was thinking an induction kit (pipercross viper maybe) and chip might be a good investment. What would be a realistic BHP gain from those two on the 182 ?
Think the reserve is a gallon on the majority of cars, so you should be safe for 25 miles or so once the light comes on. I wouldnt trust the computer once your into reserve
