Switching them on would be to place the stalk in position one before starting the car up. Obviously turning them off is the reverse of that. (Y)

Have you ever tried any premium bulbs? the original bulbs (Philips) that came with the car rated at 4300k don't seem any better than the 6k I replaced them wth imo. I tried some 5k, just didn't do it for me looks wise.

Yes obviously. You'd be absolutely retarded to rip out the factory xenon to replace with a Chinese kit or otherwise. Get some 6k bulbs as mentioned above. Ebay bulbs i find work fine at a fraction of cost of osram etc. Not sure whether osram would be any better not tried them
