Another option is to put the passenger seatbelt into the driver's seatbelt clip (assuming you haven't got a passenger at the time).
I learnt that from a Renault dealership mechanic who had obviously took my car out before I picked it up and not worn the seatbelt.
Age doesn't mean anything. Optical drives are a mass produced item, so it's inevitable some are going to break. It's the same with Renaults.... :quiet:
Has it got any remaining warranty? If so you might get the drive replaced for nowt.
Drive could be on its way out.
I'd just buy another DVD drive. They only cost a few quid brand new and you can fit them in less than 2 minutes most of the time. There's plenty of guides on how to do it online if you can't work it out.
HTTPS strictly speaking :p
I agree with those who say data services need to be switched on while roaming.
Also, could the cellular line modem settings be the problem? They will be configured to use the phone operator in this country by default.
That's interesting. I'm same age, same NCB and last time I got a quote from them the best they could do was £1,200 ish.
Elephant.co.uk were cheapest for me at £927, although it was 7 months since I last got a quote. I'll definitely try Flux again in May though when I've got another years NCB.
Get yourself a trial giganews account, download "GrabIt" (do a search on Google), then go to somewhere like newzleech.com.
Once you've downloaded a few gigs at full speed you won't want to use P2P again.
Yep, mine does this. I think I mentioned it in a different thread a while back.
First third of a tank goes in about 50 miles or so, then the middle third of the tank seems to last the rest of the week (about another 200 or so miles) before it quickly gets into the red.
I tend to trust the trip...
Mine's done as near as makes no difference 58k now, and the standard exhaust has finally rusted through in 3 different places on the back box - the first of which was where the mounting bracket is welded on, so the whole thing was hanging down.
I have only owned it from 41k though, so it might...
Wait until Windows 7 is officially released and a few bugs are found in it.
Everyone will be slating it saying it's crap, it's buggy, it hogs resources etc...
Then it'll be "Vista was way better..." and the like...
Fact of the matter is, no matter how big Microsoft are, no matter how many...
It's mainly because people are misinformed about it in the first place I'd say.
It's trendy to hate Vista because other people do.
Fact of the matter is, there's nothing wrong with it as long as you run it on a decent(ish) machine and learn how to use it properly.
It's quite a lot different to...
Indicator bulbs which have a silver colour to them, but flash orange like regular indicator bulbs.
They get rid of the "fried egg" look that you get as a result of having the standard bulbs.
Don't use much. It does use a little bit but not loads. Less than half a litre in 8 months of owning it. I have a suspicion it's got the wrong oil in though. It was last serviced by Renault after all.
It's due another service soon so I'll make sure it's got 5w40 in it.
If a woman asks what car I drive I say, "A silver Clio".
If a bloke asks what I drive, I say "Clio 172".
"A silver Clio" is enough if women ask. I don't think one's ever asked what type of Clio, so I've never had to explain.
Very few blokes ask what a Clio 172 is. They either already know what...

As above. They will rev more freely when warmed up (less friction in the engine etc). Don't they do something different with the fuelling when they're warmed up too?
Mine sometimes feels a bit like that, but then I've got a broken exhaust so it's felt underpowered for about a month now :(
Save it as a HTML page and edit the content in MS Word (or even better something like DreamWeaver or FrontPage if you have them). Then you can edit away.
I don't read anything in there to be honest. I scan through the senders and subjects every couple of days to see if I've missed anything important then just mark them all as read and leave them. They get deleted automatically after 30 days.
I find the Pirelli PZero Nero's are great in the wet and dry, but when they start getting too worn down I notice that the car starts wheel spinning a little when taking off in the wet, and understeers a lot more when cornering. I'll run on them until I notice this, then I always change the back...
