iirc, 3x10 or 13mm bolts to remove the alternator :)
Give it a go Lou if you fail, atleast it hasnt cost you anythin, as the garage will have to take it off anywayz.
^ the one that Wilson has posted is the sill, if it was ment for a jacking point, then dont you think it would be stronger?
As you only get a crappy scissor jack with your car, its only intention is to change a wheel, therefore it wont damage the sill that bad,
the proper 1 is under the car...
^ you sure? if they were the jackin points then why would then bend? & when you take the car to a garage they place the jack more under the car's body .
Thats not the jacking point fella, thats the sill, and if you do find a proper answer on how to bend them back then let me kno, as mine look horrible.
* jacking point is under the car i use the chassy youl notice it goin towards the back and dissapears.
depends what price you can get a engine at,
im doing it very soon, pickin up a engine end of month from a member on here :) i was unsure if other parts would fit from my 1.2, but infact nearly all the parts work,
Just you need to sort out the aircon unit, and making the alternator setup same...
get some Rad-weld fella, honest to say that happend to me begining of this year, at first i was thingin head gasket, but as i kept toppin it up every morning/night, then had a spray of water from the radiator, but bare this in mind i didnt get any leaks on the floor etc, so headgasket again came...
Excellent read, and im glad you finally got her up and running, have taken a few bits & bobs such as the Alternator solution tho, which i will be needing for my conversion very soon,
good job james :)
ahh ok, been driving before without ABs, was just more easy on the brakes rather than using them harder,
What about the PAS & aircon, when iv removed it, will there be any running problems then?
