^not particulary true, if he has not replaced the cambelt kit, and a tensioner / guide pulley breaks, its the same as not replacing the belt!!! Same for the auxiliary belt, if it comes off it can bring the cambelt off with it!!
Cheap may be good, but not when your spending 1K plus fixing it...
Yes you can do, and if your really paranoid smear a very small amount of instant gasket around! There is really no need, but it will do no harm what so ever! :)

There all pretty similiar really, yes it will sound mint, if anything it may lose power (minimal really) due to sucking warm air etc! But if its noise your after get it sorted!!!

Well in my experience, the studs that hold that piece on also go through the inlet manifold, and they generally break just before the threads that hold the fuel rail cover (bit above) on! So every on i see, you buy 2 new studs, unbolt the old ones, and but new ones in and tighten it up!!

Its a member off here, was brought in today for an auxiliary belt kit, after a bit of confusion, owner thought it had been replaced then realised it hadn't and the old one had just been refit...
Check the boot floor mate, they crease like fook if it has it up the arse, other things to look for when you lift the bonnet there should be a row of warning / info decals stuck on the black plastic grill top, if there missing its not original!
Belts arent a MAJOR issue really! Cup is quicker...
