You should be fine as the induction kit has no relevance on the exhaust failing.
I (and lots of other people) have had warranty work carried out succesfully with other parts of the car modified.
On the other hand if you want to be 100% sure then take the time to put the OE filter back on.

Be a named driver but you wont get any NCB's of your own or go and buy Max Power and try one of the dodgy insurers from the back pages.
I'd like to see most people "build and maintain" a laptop.. Hardly the same as building a desktop really..
As Clart says if it covered by warranty then get someone else to do it.
Perhaps you'd rather get messy underneath your car rather than take it back to the dealers to fix for free??
Third party is obviously cheaper but I wouldn't entertain that idea on a car worth any real money.
Unfortunately a group 16 mixed with a very young driver equals expensive insurance. You could put it in the name of a family member and be a named driver but you wont build up your own NC bonus.
