V12s have good levels of grip, but they just seemed to have less 'feel' and a less progressive breaking point than Michelins IMO.

RE dullness: Sounds like a thourough decontamination would help (de-iron, de-tar, clay). But if thats not an option you fancy I recommend a paint cleanser to go before your Blackhole. Werkstat Prime Strong is my choice. RE Swirls: If polishing is too labour intesive for you, give it two hits...

FYI The beading on the Wolfs isn't as tight as the freshly applied Glasur (many things arent). You can't really go wrong with Z8 though really.
