The local place to me uses one too. Tbh i've never had a problem with them using it. My car has been detailed a while ago, clayed up etc etc, no probs with the paint at all (even before it was touched)

Not that i've seen. 3k is likely to get you a rough mk2 172 on about 80k tbh. 4k upwards will get you a minter.

If I were in your position and wanted to swap, i'd do it - i'd deffo want a fair whack my though (as said the figure of 1k sounds about right) I can not see why it has not sold, there are silver mk1's on ph still selling for over 10k. Imo there is real world pricing and then CS pricing...
