Its on the bottom of the gearbox, near the inner NS driveshaft boot. It should have a brown or green connector going to it. 22mm spanner to remove it, should have them at motor factors.

Reverse light switch on the gearbox probably.

1 pump for front and rear, the pump runs a different way for the rear washer. If nothings working now its probably the motor or the fuse, the washer jets get blocked easy so sometimes its a good idea to take the pipe off the washer jet and blast the washer jet with compressed air, usually clears...

Seen water pumps leak, theyre normally pretty reliable tho and iirc only bout £30 so worth changing. Who's doing the job Matt if you dont mind me asking?

Yea 6 speed, NDO box i think, there quite a bit bigger than a 172 box, cable linkage too.

Dont think the bell housing bolts line up with a 172 block either, would probably have to use 197 engine and box.

Nearside chassis leg would need seriously cutting up i think.

Yes! dumbass's! The end of the driveshaft ( near the hub nut ) stops the centre cap from goin on. So you have to grind a bit out so the cap so it sits flush with the wheel. Il get pics tomorrow to prove it can be done.
