Chances are the original washers have worn holes through the shield. Replace with bigger washers, problem solved (guide section on here if you must).
Other one is the exhaust itself may be too close to the bodywork (I have this atm), hoping a refit will solve the rattle on idle.
Has no bearing on me as long as they aren't ditchfinders! No budget rubber as in my opinion.... if you can afford decent tyres then you might have skimped elsewhere on ownership.
This ^ Not sure if it is mixed easily?!
I remember reading the number 464 (or similar) somewhere on here, but I can't for the life of me think where or if it was in fact anthracite alloy colour, so definitely don't quote me on that!
View as many as you can and drive a few to get a feel of what your looking for. Don't jump into buying one (speaking from experience). Keep an eye on the for sale threads on here, as regularly well cared for members cars go cheap!
Oh and if selling yours, put it back to standard it will widen...
Oops. 90% of polish names are lost on me, sorry!!
Pics as requested of my results. We've had rain here tonight so nothing special, just ran out with the camera between showers!
Tom, this pretty much sums up our discussion in the tent with Dr Jekyll (Mark)! The day was all about people making and effort to chat and doesn't work if people sit about in their cars, you said people would leave this exact feedback on the day!!
Form filled in from me, I was very impressed...
I still have some minor swirling and trails... but it it's cleaned them up a lot. To be fair mine was a bit of a half arsed effort. Only spent about 30 mins on each headlight as I was sunburnt from CSS lol! But after being parked up surrounded by mint headlights, I was finally fed up of all the...
I haven't taken any atm, but I'll fire a few off for you tomorrow in the light. They were quite bad before, and a few on here can vouch for that lol... I found myself sanding off yellow grime for the first 5 minutes! No before shots unless I crop in on a previous photo as I was having a lazy...
Think I only fired off the one but I'll have a check on my laptop later... By the time I'd realised how mint it was I'd put away the camera :( I genuinely thought he was changing a wheel when I arrived lol!
Sorry Dan, none of the ratvan from me! Was very impressed with the wheel on the heap!
Wanted to Say Hi to you as well as I am always over by Colshe Motors, my Mrs lives just off the A46!
Went in with a free wristband! Glad I have seen it, enjoyed wandering around and reminding myself of some good old British engineering, but wouldn't pay to go in at some point in the future now I've seen it.
I did mine on Sunday according to the guide.
I started with 1200 then moved up to 1500 wet sanding. I'd start with something a bit lower than 2000 to take out the worse defects and then move up to something higher... Unless it's really not that bad to start with!
IIRC JD mentioned that G3...
4th is the "test" gear ratio I think and as far as I am aware not a major strain for the engine... No different from a long pull all the way to the limiter on the road, less the weight of the car to lug along with it?! (not sure if that last bit is correct, so someone correct if that's wrong).
Cheers, only a partial snap of K77 though!!
Yours was very tidy Scott! Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I've just checked these on the work computer and they have all changed in quality!! Photobucket/my laptop screen?!
For anyone interested the full set in better res can be found...
