Im running these on the SC172 but havnt done enough miles to report back about any splitting, but they offer amazing grip im more than very impressed with the grip. I dout it will see any track days so they should be fine for the road, however im currently looking at tyres for the front of the...
Thanks for the kind comments lads :-)
Went & picked some engine oil up today id been waiting for, Millers 5w40 Nanodrive for racing engines, wasnt cheap at £64 for 5ltrs but its supposed to be good so thought id try it out.
Re: AndyRG - Opps ive done it again!
1.8T eh, should have guessed from your side picture lol.
The engine looks like it should have been there from the factory, which 20vt engine are you using?
Great work as always :approve:
Couple more things turned up in the post :-)
A new number plate light to freshen things up the old one looks about 50yr old, will fit a l.e.d bulbs too.
& a ph2 handbrake, it's the only thing I didn't have when I done the ph2 interior change & as times gone on I just forgot about it but the...
Its does look quite big doesn't it
Thanks stu :o
Thanks dude but not sure about that there's some amazing ph1s on this site. The interior was the only thing I had planned to change when I bought the car 2yr ago ohh well lol.
1. No :rasp: I've told you before if you fit recaros...
This combo gets my vote over the black ultra's mate, just looks nice & fresh.
I'd be tempted to put the original style RS badges on the rear so they match the Clio badge. Or even the newest RS badge where the Clio one is?
Also a better picture of the PAS tank I painted in the summer, done it in gloss black instead of the horrid OEM colour it was.
After removing the aircon I was left with the remains of the pipe work gong into the bulkhead, so I cut them off & cut a piece of perspex to fit the hole & wrapped...
Quick update
I've fitted the new charger :-D
I decided to remove the engine after the seals went on the last SC due to having a small oil leak but I couldn't determin where it was coming from, either the gearbox or the crank shaft end cap, so whipped the engine out & took the gearbox off etc...
Absolutely love it mate  Great mods so far.
Iceberg ph1s look mint they suit the colour so well, I'd defo keep the OEM look even keep the silver wheels.
Heres my old iceberg on trophy turinis tho incase you fancy a wheel change
Finally some better pics lol, looks spot on though mate, yours look to stick out a tad more than my FK 25mm's but not sure if thats down to the height difference playing tricks with my eyes. Never the less great mod.
i had a play against my mates quick ph1 the other night & we were side by side...
Great mod mate, 1*2 arches are there to be filled, a nice drop to finish it off now. Have you got any pics of the rear though, i would have thought 25mm would have been to much. I cant even run 5mm on the rear of my ph1 without it catching :(
Ive got a soft spot for these after my uncle owned one, really like them alot :approve:
My uncle had his over a year & didnt have any trouble, he fitted FK coilovers & 19" RS4s to his too & a full decatted straight through exhaust & omg the noise was something else it was addictive so didnt do...
Re: H&R Spacers/H&R Springs Fitted. Obesity Warning.
What size spacers did you go for in the end then? I asked you in your other thread but you didnt reply tut tut lol. Look like 20 or 25 to me.
Looking good.
Great read mate youve made some good pregress with the car already too i can remember when it was andys back in the day, good to see you restoring it to its former glory. The bullets look great in the oem silver. What wheel choice are you going for then? My votes white turinis like chris's old...
Absolutely love this car mate, your future plans sound perfect too :approve:
Referring back to Kris's comment below, his now has the R26 box fitted & its totally changed the car, its amazing to drive at 280bhp + the lsd. So you wont be disappointed when you fit one to yours.
I went round last nite to check the car over for sam, everything's pointing to the cambelt slipping or being snapped, the condition of the Aux belt is very poor & its hanging over the edge of the PAS pulley by 1 tooth, all the covers are on the cambelt so i couldn't see the if it had snapped &...
