i wouldnt shell out another 2k for a 182. There isnt enough difference between the cars. Get a set of H&Rs or Ledas on your 172...the difference is staggering. Then call it a day as you wont get serious power from the clio without spending mega £££

Get some coilovers! My H&Rs are the best mod ive done to any car ever...far better than the apex (i had em before). Get Mr Fish to set them up....Youll cry at the cost but my cup is like a new car on em. Youll need new tyres quite often too! I think my cup would trouble a 255 now on the right...

Like martin says ...keep with a slower car to start with and build up driving experience. I think the best way of making a 1.2 faster is a good suspension set up, good tyres and strip it out. Better brakes would help too. I wouldnt waste £££ on giving the car another 5bhp. Good luck and dont bin...
