Seems weird as we've had various flavours of mk2 Focus in the family. Most of which have had a hard life with only general washing. No underside or arch care. None of them show any sign of rust.
That said,I don't live in the sea or in Mordor, so
Not gonna lie, I almost bought one last week. There's just something undeniably wrong about spending 20K+ on a Focus, though. Especially when it's still FWD lol?.
There is something really special about that engine, though.
It is real ray tracing just with what NVIDIA is referring to in technical marketing as a “budget” of 1-2 samples per pixel which is basically all is possible right now. So the methodology is real, it’s just at a low level and the rest is still trickery to make up for the difference. It...
I think they picked the wrong crowd for the conference content. I know that RTX obviously surrounds ray tracing massively, but gamescom probably isn't the best place. I'm personally really excited to see where things go next, but the fact that Jenson had to really push the boat out to explain...
lol actually she'd come to terms with it, it was me that decided to sell. I just wasn't using it and we needed the influx of cash. The only consolation is the prospect of having something awesome next year so here's hoping.
No idea at this point. I'd have kept it if I had sat down and had a reasonable discussion about what would fill the same boots for the money. Was thinking of going a bit nuts eventually, though. R34 perhaps, but don't quote me on that just yet lol
First serious punter took it. Rubbed salt into the wound as his dad rocked up in a spanking new 488!
Sad day but onward and upward. Got my sensible cap on for a short while now.
Nice. I want to replace the TN Swift at some point. Was hoping to jump on the new HDR offerings but NVIDIA messed that up when they priced them out of the market.
Also your background offends me. (Just sold my VIII :()
Mate had a 30-40k one with minimal owners too. Looked so clean and tidy, but when he went to sell the buyer HPI’d and found it was a CAT C in the first couple of years it was registered.
Always HPI check.
Oh it gets hot. With over 1200mm worth of radiators lol. It's non delidded so it's only really for gaming. Things are under control with encoding, but not what you'd call 'nice and cool'. High 80s.
I don't do a great deal of encoding, so it's not an issue. Streaming perhaps
Rubbish, to have a decent bit-rate you need at least 16, preferably 32 cores. Said the AMD technical marketing bod.
AMD have thrown us right back into the core war. Maybe I'm just not as keen on spunking money as I was 5-10 years ago, but I don't need 10 cores, let alone 32. What consumers...
The Acer panel fell close to that recently. They're all much of a muchness but that's a great price for that panel.
Certainly a lot better than 2.5k for a 27"... Rolls eyes
Oh I concur 100%, but you have to try it. It's an AWD rally car, sadly launching off the line is something it's quite good at, save for the health of your transmission running gear lol
Good to see it back on the road!
Do you even have a 2 step limiter on yours with the map? Wouldn’t bother trying to launch it if not. Today was the first time I’d bothered trying, have plenty of mechanical sympathy otherwise lol. Can’t imagine 120 straight laps at Brands is much different long...
Why do you always have to say bad things lol. It does rip, that's for sure. Had no plans to change the clutch out for non OEM part, but it's just one of those things where whilst it's out...
You're not kidding. I've only done it twice now lol. I think even stock I read somewhere from Mitz that they're only good for about 30 launches and then the clutch is gone. So that probably means about 10 lol :D
