Tried Direct Fail, £1200 no thanks.
£686 is my cheapest from Admiral (3rd year running)
What were the others that are worth trying?

"cliosport" discount dont forget.
Read into it, read into it very well before you have a crack. DA is not dangerous. But if your paintwork is thin as f**k to begin with...
Onto the protection then.
Wax or sealant. FFS. Even bigger topic.
Sealant, crisp look, usually sealants dont bead all that well, more durable usually, often cheaper than wax.
Wax, Wet look, usually bead very well, most are pretty durable but you have to spend £40+ IMO to get one thats good...
Next bit I guess is about protection/polishing. Big can of worms here. Everyone does it different and theres hundreds of products out there that do the same thing. Heres my 5p though.
I assume youre not going to polish by machine.
Firstly, Clay the car. Do this once every 6 months. I do mine...
OK, Ill throw my personal opinion of products/methods you could use. Im assuming you want to know the best methods too? This post might get a little sloppy, I hope this is the advice youre after.....
Get your wash/drying technique right first.
2 Buckets. One for shampoo, the other for rinsing...
Best result?
Clean paint - Clay, iron x, tardis etc.
Multiple hours/days of machine polishing to remove paint defects, and refining to give the best possible finish.
Prime Strong to pull remaining dirt from paintwork.
Decent wax.
Ive got about 5 months on my contract left. I have a BB 9700 Bold and I dont like it (to put it bluntly).
£200 to pay off (I think), can get £110 from Mazuma Mobile for this crock of s**t, so £90 to shell out to get me away from this phone.
But replace it with what? Defo dont want a 24 month...
Re: What have you ordered?
Well DPD are still f**king me about. Was due for delivery yesterday (After re scheduling) and there is no evidence to show that they even attempted to deliver. Now its just stuck at depot.
True dat. I remember Pauls 8 million layers of Zaino Z9000 or whatever it was. And his astra vxr thread. I knew exactly why he did it as soon as I opened it. I somewhat doubt he did go to the extent he said he did, but imagine how that looks to prospective customers :)
Dom (Dodo Juice) also...
Lew is right, he is more precatious than me though. If the previous owner hacked away at it with t cut, or has polished it with a machine numerous times with an agressive compound then it could be very thin in places.
Personally, id get a DA and hack away at it anyway. Simply because Id want a...
Mine comes today. Whoop.
Heres my views on Mitts; (Note, I dont look after my mitts)
Halfrauds Grey Lambswool Mitt - Bit small perhaps, but cheap, easily accessible to people who dont roder from the net. Long lasting (I have one thats 5 years old now). No issues with this one in fact its a...
Wait for other peoples responses too pal. Zymol Carbon is one of my favorites, Vics red is not far behind. I own more expensive waxes but I will not be replacing them (except Zymol Glasur which is p**n).
If youve not waxed before, lay down a glaze, polish or pre cleaner first, and then wax...
Pre-wash/shampoo
Megs Shampoo Plus (If Bulk is required)
Dodo BTBM 500ml
Citrus Snowfoam (If needed)
Exterior
Blackfire Long lasting Tyre Gel
Autosmart tardis
Autoglym fast Glass (Then replace with AG Fast Glass, or Megs Glass Cleaner Bulk)
Polish
If not by machine.....one of the following...
Ken, is that his name?
Kenneth.
303 Aerospace, or Zymol Vinyl.
Tyres has to be Blackfire. If youre a tight t**t then Megs Gold class from halfrauds is good.
Really want to try pneu, is it worth it?
Yeah, is it a wax you defo want?
Werkstat Trigger Jett or whatever its called is pretty good. Spray, Wipe. Done. Could get a layer of Werkstatt Prime down before you do that would clean the paintwork up a bit.
Re: What have you ordered?
Really?
I dunno how much its worth really. I think theyre £90 in shops now just for the dremel. If you want ill stick a thread up in for sale.
