if they look overly coroded then yes its a fail. take them off and bash the rust off, by test time they will look shiney :D

imo timing and exhaust...

i have found that a few times taking them to bits and spraying wd-40 about cures it, they are a pretty hard wearing design.

i did here the panel filter adds more torque, im running mine with no filter and i can feel the loss from not having a filter TBH

erm mine normally does pretty well i washed my car the night before our rolling road and it looked worse than cars that hadnt been washed since FCS, yet i have no pics yet as its not filthy YET

i run 1.2 strut tops on 172 struts :S

even paul thought i was a 172 till i corrected him :rasp: nahh its slower than that.... and its not bike carbs, its fireblade ITB's as its injection, still using the bike injectors too :D
