Any of you guys fitted a Lsd yet? its a massively worthwhile mod and gives a great boost off the line, out of slow corners and more security at high speed.
I fitted a quaife one to my rally car and the difference is amazing even for a nearly std engine wise 205 gti (it just has twin 45s)
LOL this was not human error!....
cant believe how brittle by back disc is ....on inspection, it shattered!!! and to think i had ordered some in at renault!!
im so glad i wasnt on the motorway travelling at 70..i think id be dead...

My comments where never aimed at the genuine racers just the dreamers who think tinkering will give monster power.
Out of interest what spec/power are you guys got to be running 14s?
About 4-5 years ago my mate had a valver with a chip, exhaust, filter, and really sticky tyres SO2s and he...
Im sure you will find out that little will beat OE quality.
do you even know the spec of the std setup? or even the spec of your uprated set?
Ive seen to many of these so-called fast road kits fall apart, now if you want quality try Bilstein, etc etc
No problem,
they both loose approx 80-90 bhp through the trans AFAIK, but as im sure you will find power will have to go up massively to get any quicker just the law of diminishing returns.
Look at the big power boys, norris evo etc 700bhp to do 10s so in reality not too bad
gt4 1400kg...
How can they be easy to set up when there is no adjustment?
From my experience what you gain be lowering you loose by making your car into a bumpstop special.
Improved ride is purely a personal opinion but the only way they can give flatter cornering is to up the spring rates which badly...
Coil overs offer no advantage over conventional type struts/springs unless your constantly changing springs or ride heights (very doubtful), std is usually best in terms of ride height and stiffness.
For what will be for most a road car there is no advantage to be gained by going so hard it...
PMSL.
Ive never read so much b*llocks.
You guys really do talk a good tale, on the most part your just dreamers nothing wrong with that but its when you start believing it yourself!!
I suggest some of you get out more.

"You didnt answer my question about why people feel its sensible to spend a few grand on a car then have to spend the same each year just keeping it on the road? I find that just plain stupid, but thats just my opinion."
But by the same token what the point as in my case of having a car which...
After 14 weeks without my 172 i got it back, the dealers did a poor job of refitting trim. ie it came off in my hand and i later found a slight dent in the bonnet. The standards are poor and attitudes stink this is not what i expect from a main dealer and Renault UK.
Everything is endless...
I would never buy another Renault, Keeping mine until its payed for then its going.
The dealers are poor (understatement) and Renault Uk arrogant, unorganised, apathetic and will do little to help if you do have problems.
Be warned, when its going its a fantastic car but if you have any...

I guess the reno engineer knows his stuff regarding programming etc, but they have tried loads of different ones as well.
