Nice shots, certainly looks dodgy enough to get your hairs stood up on end in the pics!
Pity it has fallen into sufficient neglect that it is not instantly recognisable as a disused race track.
Definitely go for the 430ex over the Metz. The 430 head can swivel in all directions which makes bouncing the flash a lot easier, where as the Metz can only go up and down.
The 430EXII is just out so the original should be able to be had for a reasonable price these days.
Not if is to be used as a backup. I have everything stored on my PC and once every couple of weeks, collect my external drive from my inlaws place, stick everything on it and take it back again. If my house burns down or my PC fries itself, I only loose a weeks worth of pics at most.

You'd be better off having propper text in there rather than a picture of the text TBH. It is easy enough to do though. Have you ever made a site before?
I taught myself with a couple of magazines, Dreamweaver for Dummies and Google. Follow a couple of example projects and you can make your...
it is possible. As you already have the image, just chop it up in fireworks and export as .css. You then have a webpage and can add text etc.
You can probably use a table to align everything on the page if .css is too much. I think that fireworks can do that you too but am not 100%.
Yes, most use TN panels which do not offer the full colour range and change as you move in front of the screen. I got a samsung 24 anyway as i do not need a calibrated monitor and the higher resolution was more important.
I would be tempted to go for the larger option TBH, I don't think that...
How about sticking them on an external drive and leaving it at your parents house (or somewhere the PC isn't). It would be quicker than uploading s**t loads of photos and will be easier to manage.
i had a similar problem when i used to use it as the router had rules applied on a pc level rather than for all. If the desktop picked up another ip from the router when it logged on, the rule would not work and i would have to add another one. Might be worth checking.
^haha, i was beaten to it.
Remeber that it is important to get something with quiet fans. If you have ever watched a DVD on a PS2 and not been annoyed by the noise it made, then obviously you can ignore my advice.
In XP the path is :
C:\Documents and Settings\[Your User ID]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Wallpaper1.bmp
That is normally only the temporary path while it is still your wallpaper, so it may have been deleted in the meantime....
Some PC's even have a reset button on the motherboard.... one of my old Dells did at least. Might be worth a google on that if all else fails.
Boot disks normally do the trick though.
edit: just seen laptop.. probably not then
