Any new PC, Laptop, etc - immediately format as soon as you get home. With a fresh OS copy. Go into BIOS and turn off anything that looks like CPU scaling, C3/5/7 or power saving. Then in the OS set the power mode to performance.

I'd clear anything cache related that you have. I just got the login to ssh on the above ip quickly, with no issues.

I'd say so. Are you dedicated server, or part of a shared service? Your syntax looks fine, and with an htaccess errror you'd only get a server 500 error, not a timeout.

Strange that you can't get to cpanel though, would assume your host is down.

Can you ssh to your box? and then remove the .ht file.

Correct, I put non-cup ECU and UCH into my Cup and had not one single light or error. It fired up first time and has been spot on for nearly 2 years now. I'd find someone with a code reader to see what the error is.
